The chicks came in and looked good. Three extra chicks were in the order. Unfortunately I lost three in the first few days. The remaining chicks are doing well after one week. This is the second order of the opal legbar chicks where I lost chicks early after receiving. In both cases I hatched or received other chicks at the same time and had no losses. It appears to me that the opal legbar chicks may not be as robust a variety as others. Brinkhaven did well with the shipping and also suggestions to improve the health of the chicks. Enjoyed doing business with them.

Our Opal Legbars lay beautiful eggs ranging from a light blue to a light mint. We are always selecting towards the bluest eggs and our goal is to eventually have a flock which produces the most beautiful blue eggs while maintaining positive attributes that makes this breed so unique.
