Silver Penciled Wyandotte Started birds

Silver Penciled, one the rarest varieties of wyandottes, and one of our favorites!

Started Silver Penciled Wyandotte Pullets & Cockerels are 2-4 months of age, and generally ship with in 30 days of ordering.

We have been working diligently with this variety, and we are finally comfortable offering chicks. Much work has gone into essentially saving this color variety. We started with very small, poorly typed birds. Thankfully our founding stock had great silver base color which allowed us to cross with our Partridge line birds. This helped improve their shape, size and bone structure drastically. We look forward to continuing to work with this variety.

Please note that quality wyandottes take longer to mature, but are well worth the wait! It's typical for hens to start producing between 7-10 months of age. Wyandotte's shape and feather pattern are not fully developed until approximately 18 months. Our birds in the photos average between 12-24 months.
